Falling Or Rising: The Crucial Task Of Self Development and Everything Else In Between
We all have our ups and downs, but deciphering their true meaning is what builds us up.
Whenever I heard someone say, “you have to put in the work”, I would just nod and agree. But, in all honesty I didn’t fully understand the essence and importance of that concept until just recently.
The Catalyst That Set Me Free
A few years ago I hit what I consider a catalyst in my life. It brought me to a point where I began to question a lot of things, but no matter how much I searched for an answer, or where I turned for an answer I couldn’t find one to my situation specifically. Instead, what it continuously led me to was myself —— my traumas, my pitfalls, my weaknesses, my judgments, my experiences. It led me to such a depth of myself as a human, that it deconstructed me, so that I could build myself back up with more wisdom, gratitude, and grace. I used to be a person who had a “2D” view on herself and the world, but now after years of “putting in that work”, I am able to understand everything in a multi dimensional manner. This self development process I’ve been through for years has allowed me to realize how important and essential it is for all people to do this in order to become their true selves, and live out their purpose.
The Stagnant Population
Unfortunately, too many people take the phrase “take it day by day” too literal, and never do anything that will help them evolve and grow as a human being. They just live in a set routine and program, which leads them towards a life that could have been so much more, but wasn’t.
Connection and Resonance
Through this process I have realized how empowering it is to connect with others who also consider self development a key element in their lives. One of my favorite methods of continuously evolving is reading — not just any reading, reading the most transformative, eye opening, inspriring, uplifting books to ever come into existence. I’m talking about the books that bring you to tears of joy or goosebumps while you read, because they are that impactful. I’m talking about the books that peel layers off of you as you read and push you to bloom into who you were meant to be. You get the point :)
With all that said, this right here is the start of Untangled, a Book Club for lovers and avid readers of self development books. This idea has been in my heart for quite sometime, and I hope you will join me in this beautiful journey.

The first book I will be diving into is “This Is How You Heal” by Brianna Wiest.
Aside from the newsletter, I will also be doing interactive methods of book reviews, breakdowns, analysis, and transformative conversations with you all. I would also love to do in-person book club meetings with those local to me — but more on that later. I am beyond thrilled to read, learn, and expand with you all. Cheers to becoming Untangled more and more each day!
What a great idea, can’t wait!
